Hi friends! I’m Deanna Lilly, and I’m so excited you're here. I love sharing stories, and I’m here to tell you a bit about mine.

 For 20 years, I was a Literacy and Special Education teacher in Florida public schools, sharing my love for storytelling with my creative writing students. One day, I decided it was time to share my stories with the world, not just my classroom, and that’s how my writing journey began.

 Growing up on a secluded farm without TV and struggling as a reader, I spent most of my time using my imagination. That’s where my stories were born. It’s been a rollercoaster of emotions—excitement, nerves, and a bit of relief—to finally get those stories out of my head and onto the page for you to enjoy!

 I’m a nature lover at heart, and you’ll often find me hiking in the Blue Ridge or Smoky Mountains, relaxing by the beach, or reading in my hammock.

 While I LOVE my tea (Earl Grey all the way), I’ve started drinking way too much coffee lately—just don’t tell my tea kettle!

 I’m also an empty nester, which is bittersweet. Watching my three girls "adult" is tough sometimes, but I’m incredibly proud of the amazing women they’ve become.

 Life, as we know, can throw plenty of lemons our way, and I love writing stories that add a little hope and romance—turning those lemons into sweet lemonade with a happily-ever-after twist.

 My mom and niece are my biggest fans, so you can always count on my stories being clean and wholesome, with just sweet kisses and heartwarming moments.
